The Challenge

Great food and handcrafted cocktails don't market themselves. Hunt and Fish Club had the atmosphere, a talented bar team, and new packages in the works — but needed a consistent system for turning all of it into social content.

The brief was broad: showcase the food, feature the cocktails, promote their new birthday package, and stay on top of seasonal moments. The catch was doing it in a way that felt polished and on-brand — not like a quick grab — and could be repurposed across Instagram Reels, Stories, and static posts. And it had to keep coming, month after month.

Monthly Shoot Planning

Each month starts before we walk in the door. Dara from The Misfit Creatives leads strategy on what to tackle — whether that's a new promotion launching, a seasonal push, or evergreen brand content. We map out shot lists, format breakdowns, and coordinate which staff need to be involved, so there's a clear plan before the cameras come out.For the birthday package launch, that meant planning a champagne-and-confetti setup for the private dining rooms, scripting a voiceover concept, and coordinating with Kristin, who developed the package.

On-Site Production

On shoot days, we work across the restaurant — food plating, bar action, room setups, and staff-led content. Xavier from the bar team leads cocktail tutorials that show the craft behind the pours, from syrup prep to final pour. We shoot birthday package promos in the private dining rooms. And we capture the atmosphere and food shots that make someone want to book a table.Every session is designed to produce a mix of formats — Reels, static posts, and Stories — so the content calendar stays full between shoots.

Content & Turnaround

Each monthly session produces a batch of ready-to-post content: cocktail tutorial Reels, food and atmosphere photography, and promotional assets tied to whatever H&F is pushing that month.

Turnaround is fast — edited content is delivered and approved within days of the shoot, so the posting schedule stays consistent.

One-shoot per month generally produces:

  • 3 to 4 short form reels, roughly 30-60 seconds in length each

  • 10-15 images of key menu items, flatlays, and seasonal drinks

This gives the H&F social media team plenty of content to work with across the month.

Content is typically tailored to menu specials, holidays, or upcoming events so the team can start marketing early. Think: Marketing for Valentine's day in January, or driving views ahead of Cinco de Mayo.
