I had always dreamt of visiting Indonesia and last year I finally made it happen. I spent a month getting lost and relearning how to live. It was honestly one of the best times of my whole life.

On the first night there, I met a guy named Eric from my hostel and we made friends with Olivia and Kayla. We were all solo travelers, but the universe brought us together and over the next month we'd have a blast and make some memories that I'm going to tell my kids about.

I learned how to scuba dive and really can't quite put into words just how incredible it was. I saw an octopus dancing on a coral reef and it totally blew my mind.

We got lost in the backroads. Did some pretty sketchy stuff on scooters. But I'm a dude this mid twenties. I mean, what do you expect?

I also learned a lot from how the locals live and approach life like Chef Kipley. He's a chef and a father from Bali who moved to Flores, started his own restaurant, and now he blends Balinese flavors and techniques with local ingredients.

I love that people in Indonesia focus on community and family and welcoming new people, while also learning how to be one with the world and working hard to build a brighter future. It's a balance and mindset that I think we've forgotten about in the West.

I cannot wait to go back and keep exploring. Thank you so much for having me. Indonesia.

Terima kasih :)
