The short answer: a professionally produced brand film in New York City typically costs $5,000–$50,000. My flagship brand film package is $12,500 — a 2–3 minute film with an interview, 2–3 scenes, marketing strategy guidance, and two rounds of revisions included.
If you're a founder or marketing lead budgeting for video, the range you'll hear from NYC production companies is frustratingly wide. This guide breaks down what actually drives the price, what real packages cost in 2026, and how to budget for the result you want — with my actual rates, not "contact us for pricing."
NYC brand video pricing at a glance (2026)
Brand film (2–3 minutes, includes marketing strategy): $12,500 — NYC market range: $5,000–$50,000
Website hero video (60 seconds, no voiceover): $5,000 — market range: $4,000–$10,000
Customer interview video (2–3 minutes, minimum of 2): $3,250 each — market range: $3,000–$5,000
Event video, up to 60 seconds: $1,300 — market range: $1,000–$2,500
Social reels, up to 30 seconds (set of 2): $700 — market range: $500–$1,500
Additional revision rounds: $200 each
Every rate above includes post-production, and two rounds of revisions are included in every video.
What actually drives the cost
1. Length is not the driver — production days are. A 2-minute film with one interview and three scenes (about 6 hours of filming) costs a fraction of a 2-minute film shot across four locations with actors. When you get a quote, ask how many filming hours it includes, not how long the final cut is.
2. Strategy and script. The cheapest videos skip this — and it shows. My brand film rate includes marketing strategy guidance: who the film is for, where it will run, and what it needs to say before anyone touches a camera. That's the difference between a video that looks nice and one that earns its budget back.
3. Interviews and talent direction. Founders aren't actors, and they shouldn't need to be. Coaching your team on camera is part of the shoot day, and it's why the final film feels natural instead of stiff.
4. Post-production scope. Color grading, motion graphics, captions, and cutdowns for social all add editing time. My interview packages include color grading and motion graphics; social cutdowns can be added per piece rather than bundled into a bloated flat fee.
A realistic budget for a B2B launch
Lean: one website hero video ($5,000) — a polished 60 seconds for your homepage and pitch deck.
Standard: a brand film ($12,500) — the full story, usable across your site, sales, fundraising, and press for years.
Launch package: a brand film plus a set of vertical social reels (from $700) so the announcement travels on LinkedIn — this is the setup behind a recent launch film that hit 250,000 views in its first 24 hours.
Why NYC quotes vary by 10x
The $5,000 end of the market is usually a solo shooter with minimal pre-production. The $50,000 end is an agency with a crew of eight and agency overhead. Working directly with a producer-director sits in the middle: senior-level strategy and craft, without paying for an account manager, a rented office, and three layers of markup.
FAQ
How long does a brand video take to make?
Most projects run 3–4 weeks from kickoff to final delivery — strategy and scripting, a shoot day in Manhattan or Brooklyn, and a first cut within two weeks. Rush timelines are possible for launches with advance notice.
What's included in the price?
Strategy and script guidance, shoot-day direction and talent coaching, editing, color grading, two rounds of revisions, and delivery in every format you need — including vertical cuts for social.
Do I need to rent a studio or location?
Usually not. Most B2B brand films shoot in your office or on location in NYC, which keeps costs down and makes the film feel like your company — not a set.
What if we need changes after delivery?
Two rounds of revisions are included in every video. Additional rounds are $200 each, so a picky stakeholder won't blow up your budget.
Is a brand film worth it for an early-stage startup?
If you're announcing a raise or launching a product, yes — it's the one asset that works simultaneously for investors, press, customers, and recruiting. If you're pre-launch and pre-revenue, start with a website hero video and upgrade later.
